A running log major updates or minor changes

March 7, 2010:  Contact Us Page Created.  An oversight corrected.  Also spent some time getting the banner on the pages to have the same font sizing, banner height, and titles the same where possible. Fixed some spelling and other typos along the way. As always, let us know if you find something amiss or need to contact us.

February 16, 2010:  Most pages have been converted.  The main pages should now look similar to the homepage.  There are still some secondary pages to be done and much more to fix the formatting code.  But for now, it is reasonably useful.

February 11, 2010:  New Nav-Style Homepage published.  The entire site will change to this new format over the course of the next few weeks.  Trailblazers is the first set to set to get the make-over.  We are adding more info, pages and pictures to the site.  Please bare with us during our  transition.  We are making an effort to provide as much information as possible now, in the old format rather then not publish the information due to conversion delays.  We trust you will find our new format worth the our effort and your time.

February 2, 2010:  Web host changed over this morning.  All DNS servers were updated during the past 24 hours.  I am still freshening the pages, installing the stats and various "under the covers" activities.  Any errors found, please report them although I am working on the bugs as I go. [NOTE: One report that the old host is still still pointing viewers to the old website 10 days later]

January 31, 2010:  Created the "Weather / Cam" page.  This page will list the closest weather station (currently at the Freestone) for quick local weather checks.  Will add other area weather and/or links and web cams of local interest.  This should favor our part-timers too.

January 30, 2010:  Resurrected the "Member Survey" page.  This page was originally published within a 2006 newsletter to solicit input from our members.

January 27, 2010:  The website has a new web hosting service and a new webmaster.  Karen Reneau created the EMC's first web site in 2004 and has been maintaining it since. Karen told us that she wanted to create a simple site that could be used by potential owner's and owners to easier find the CC&R's, financials and board minutes.  Over the years more content was added as requested by the board or suggested by the owners.  It grew "organically" from there but never became too complex to navigate.  But after 6 years, Karen wished to free-up more of her time, so a new guy volunteered to man the helm.  A big thanks to Karen for staying the course after charting it from scratch.

The new guy is Mike Shirley, now in his third year at Edelweiss.  He has said he will be sprucing things up and doing a bit of reorganization in the next few weeks.  Mike has requested that you let him know if you see any errors, wish to see something you don't now or otherwise, have any ideas to help him along.  Suggestions to the board members are also helpful as they are :da bosses" and content is their primary domain, Mike's is simply, to display it.  Either way, if we can do better, he's willing to give it a shot..

We are expecting a re-design of the the overall website sometime in the next few months. We do not know quite yet what the scale and scope of the project will be.  But until then, Mike do what he can.

We will be adding revision dates to all the pages.  This should help when trying to find content which has changed since one's last visit.  Those changes will be listed on this page in a running file format with the newest change at the top of the pages.  The homepage will likely get a red star to denote content change on the menu'ed links.  This should simplify finding the latest information, primarily right from our homepage.
